introduction
Madame Olivia ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website madameoliviamiami.com and our restaurants in North Miami and Midtown Miami. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website, placing an order, joining our rewards program, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to the practices described below.
information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code.
- Order and payment information when you place an order, purchase a gift card, or book catering. Card payments are processed by Toast and similar processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Account information for our rewards program, including birthday, visit history, and preferences you choose to share.
- Job application information submitted through our careers page, including resume, work history, and references.
- Communications you send us through forms, email, social media, or in person.
We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location based on IP address.

We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your orders, reservations, catering requests, and rewards transactions.
- Manage your rewards account and personalize offers based on your visits and preferences.
- Respond to your questions, requests, and feedback.
- Send you marketing communications about menus, events, new locations, and promotions when you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

third party services
We use trusted third party providers to operate our business. These providers receive only the information they need to perform their services and are required to protect it. They include:
- Toast for online ordering, point of sale, gift cards, and the rewards program. Toast privacy policy.
- Google Analytics for understanding site traffic and performance. Google privacy policy.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixels and tags for advertising measurement and audience building. Meta privacy policy.
- Email and SMS service providers to deliver communications you have opted in to receive.
- Hosting, security, and customer service vendors that support our website and operations.
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in to your rewards account, measure how the site is used, and support advertising. The first time you visit, a cookie banner gives you the choice to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" link in the footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Some features of the site may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the site to function. Always active. | Session, security, consent preference. |

| Advertising | Measure and target ads on third party platforms. | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. |
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically. When your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. The Do Not Track browser setting is not a uniform standard, and most websites do not respond to it. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals at this time, but we do honor GPC.
text message communications
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional messages at the phone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
data retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your rewards account, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it. Inactive rewards accounts may be archived or deleted after an extended period of inactivity.
Job applicant information. Resumes, work history, and references submitted through our careers page are retained for up to two years from the date of submission so we can consider you for future openings, then deleted unless you have been hired. Hired team member records are retained as long as required by employment, payroll, and tax law.
data security and breach notification
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
If we ever experience a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators in accordance with Florida's Information Protection Act and any other laws that apply, including the timing and manner of notice those laws require.
children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
your rights and choices
You may request to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or replying STOP to text messages. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to confirm what personal information we process, the right to request deletion or correction, and the right to opt out of certain uses of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
accessibility
We are committed to making our website usable by everyone. We design and test against WCAG 2.1 AA guidance for color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and focus visibility. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, please email admin@madameoliviamiami.com with the page and the issue, and we will work to address it.
changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we update the policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review the policy periodically.
